Mark Strandburg Dental

Mark A. Strandburg, DMD is a native of central Georgia, and after several years of study and work has been able to achieve his goal of “coming home” and buying a dental practice in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Dr. Strandburg is the son of Gary and Carol Strandburg of Perry, Georgia. After graduating from Perry High School in 1994, he moved on to the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry. He married the former Haley Burns of Macon and together they moved to Augusta to pursue Mark’s dream of becoming a dentist.

Dr. Strandburg received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. After graduating he worked for one year providing dental care to patients in nursing home facilities throughout Georgia. He was accepted as one of three residents for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta. During that year Mark received in-depth training in the areas of implant and complex restorative procedures.

Dr. Strandburg is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Mark and Haley are the proud parents of two young sons, Preston and Evan. Haley serves on the Board of Directors of their children’s school and is a worship leader at Southside Baptist Church. Dr. Strandburg is an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Falcons and enjoys any type of family event, fun with friends, and loves participating in community theatre.

Leigh was born in Landstuhl, Germany. She graduated from Warner Robins High School, and then from Macon College (now Middle Georgia State University) in 1991 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She received the Proctor and Gamble Dental Hygiene Professional Award in Preventative Oral Health Care. She worked for 21 years for her father, Bruce E. Shaver, DDS, MS and now has had the pleasure of working for Mark A. Strandburg, DMD since July 2012. Leigh married Bo in 1991 and has two children, Griffin and Bailey. She attends Southside Baptist Church, enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on beach vacations, cooking/baking, doing crafts, and listening to music.

Tiffany is a Registered Dental Hygienist. In 2011, she graduated from Middle Georgia Technical College with a degree in dental hygiene. Her interest in dentistry comes from having braces when she was younger and seeing her own smile’s transformation. She wanted to help others achieve the same confidence that comes from having a healthy smile. Tiffany is married to Kyle and together they have a daughter, Hadley. She is a car enthusiast and in her spare time loves shopping and being with her family.

Meredith is an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant and has been an assistant since 2004.  Her interest and passion for dentistry comes from having braces as a child.  Being able to help someone feel better about their smile is her favorite part of working in dentistry.  She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband Nick and their two sons Liam and Weston.  She and her family love being outdoors, going to the beach during the summer, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs in the fall.  (Dr. Strandburg tries not to hold that last part against her!)
